"Implant" is not one product. A quote that says only "implant" leaves out the three parts that decide the price and your aftercare.

The three parts

  1. The fixture — the screw that goes into the bone.
  2. The abutment — the connector between fixture and crown.
  3. The crown — the visible tooth.

Cheap quotes usually price the fixture alone. Ask for all three, in writing.

Materials

  • Titanium — the standard. Decades of evidence, strongest for molar sites, lowest cost.
  • Zirconia — ceramic, metal-free, sometimes chosen for front teeth or metal sensitivity. Fewer long-term studies, and usually more expensive.

For most patients titanium is the right answer. If a clinic pushes zirconia as "better" without a clinical reason, ask why.

Brands come in tiers

  • Premium (Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Dentsply): highest cost, longest published data.
  • Mid-tier (Osstem, Dentium, BIOMET 3i): widely used in Asia, good results, noticeably cheaper.
  • Unbranded or clone components: cheapest, and the hardest to service later.

Why the brand matters after you fly home

Your dentist at home will need to find compatible components if a crown loosens or an abutment needs replacing. Premium and mid-tier brands are stocked worldwide; unbranded systems can leave them improvising.

Before you book, ask:

  1. Which brand and exact model line?
  2. Can you give me the fixture sticker and the batch number in my records?
  3. Which local dentists in my city have you worked with before?

What we recommend

Choose a mid-tier or premium system from a manufacturer with a distributor in your home country. The price difference over an unbranded fixture is small next to the cost of replacing one.
