DentalCareTrip is a dental travel information and enquiry platform. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It reflects our role: we help you understand dental treatment and dental travel options in China, and connect you with a human coordinator. We do not diagnose, prescribe, or make clinical decisions for you.
1. What we are, and what we are not
We are an information and enquiry platform, not a dental practice, clinic, or medical service. We publish information about treatments, hospitals, dentists, costs and travel, and we pass your enquiry to a human coordinator who can confirm your specific case with a clinician.
We do not provide diagnosis, treatment recommendations, prescriptions, or any other individual clinical advice. Any clinical decision is made by a licensed dentist or doctor after an examination.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details you submit in an enquiry form or the chat widget (name, email address, phone / WhatsApp number)
- Your country, and the treatment(s) you are interested in
- Anything you choose to type into the enquiry form or the chat
Information collected automatically
- The pages you visit, referring page, approximate location (country level), device and browser type
- A random visitor identifier stored in your browser, used to recognise returning visits
Information we deliberately do NOT ask for We do not ask you to send medical records, X-rays, CT scans, MRI images, diagnoses, medication information or other sensitive health information through this website or its AI assistant. Please do not share such information in the chat. If we ever need clinical material for a treatment decision, our human coordinator will tell you how to provide it securely and directly to the clinic.
3. How we use your information
- To answer your enquiry and arrange your treatment
- To pass your enquiry to the relevant clinic so they can prepare a plan and quotation
- To operate, secure and improve the website
- To measure, with your consent, how the website is used (analytics)
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential – needed for the website and the chat to work (for example, remembering your chat session). These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics – Microsoft Clarity, which helps us understand how visitors use the site. Clarity is loaded only after you accept analytics cookies, and it is configured to mask the chat, the enquiry form and the cost estimator. You can decline analytics and still use every part of the site.
You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser (the consent banner will appear again), or by contacting us.
5. Sharing
We share your enquiry details with the clinic(s) that can provide your treatment, and with service providers who help us run the platform (hosting, database, file storage, and AI/analytics providers). AI providers are used to draft replies and are not sent the sensitive health information described in section 2. We require providers to handle data lawfully and only for the purposes above.
6. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
7. Retention
We keep enquiry and chat records only as long as needed to answer your enquiry and to meet our legal obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw your consent to analytics at any time. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details on our Contact page. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes and version history
When we change this policy we publish a new version and keep the previous versions available. The current version is shown at the top of this page, and earlier versions are listed in the Version history section below.
