Every hospital listed on this site is a real, named institution. Here is exactly what we check, and what we do not claim.

What we list

We list Chinese public Grade 3A hospitals - the top tier of China''s hospital classification - together with the international department and the dental or oral-maxillofacial department that treats overseas patients. Most are university teaching hospitals or national dental centres.

How we verify

We work from the hospital''s own published information: its official website, its department pages, its doctor listings and its published contact and appointment details. Where a hospital or an insurer publishes a direct-billing list, we check our entry against it. Each listing records the date it was last checked against the hospital''s own material.

What we do not claim

We are not a hospital and we do not provide medical care. A listing is not an endorsement of a particular clinician or treatment, and it is not a promise of a clinical outcome. We have not carried out on-site inspections of hospitals we have not visited, and we do not claim to have done so. Where a hospital does not publish a fact - a price, an insurer, a doctor roster - we leave it out rather than estimate it.

Prices

What you pay in a Chinese hospital depends on which department you are seen in (standard, special-needs or international), the materials used and how complex your case is. Treat every price range on this site as indicative only, and ask the hospital for a written quotation before you commit to treatment.

Corrections

Departments, doctors, phone numbers and insurance arrangements change. If you find something here that is out of date or wrong, tell us and we will correct it.
