The hospital
The First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University is a Grade 3A general hospital in Nanchang, Jiangxi, with a full stomatology department at the Donghu main campus on Yongwai Zheng Street. Seven clinicians are published, their specialities given in enough detail to work out who does what before you travel.
The team
Two, Qiu Jiaxuan and Jiang Zexian, work in oral and maxillofacial surgery with head and neck tumours. The restorative end is just as explicit: Wen Bing in implant restoration and aesthetics; Sun Guang in tooth aesthetics with porcelain crowns, bridges and veneers; Fan Huanan in complex root canals and full-arch cases; Zhang Qiang in minimally invasive wisdom tooth removal, implant surgery and peri-implantitis; Huang Hui in caries, apical periodontitis and oral mucosal disease.
Equipment and comfort
Two items matter if you have put off dental work: a nitrous oxide sedation unit for painless minimally invasive tooth extraction, and a TMJ arthroscope for minimally invasive treatment of disc perforation and ankylosis. It also has an implant system with bone augmentation and CT with 3D mandibular reconstruction, with MRI and DSA in the same hospital, and spans three campuses with more than eighty dental chairs.
